Primary GL Underwriter
5+ years of solid company experience along with good marketing skills. Excess &
Surplus Lines and wholesale agency distribution familiarity a plus. Demonstrated
involvement in insurance industry education desired. Proficient computer keyboard
skills with experience with Windows, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook,
Access). Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, organizational, and reasoning skills.
Underwriting Administrator
Analyze policy issuance instructions from underwriters. Review binder, application
and file documentation. Review forms to be attached for accuracy and attach any
state specific mandatory endorsements. Complete declarations page and all fill-in
forms with the information contained from all these sources. Refer any discrepancies
back to underwriter. For renewal policy issuance, also review information contained
on the prior policy and make sure inconsistencies and undocumented changes have
been addressed.
Associate General Counsel - Regulatory Services and Compliance
This full-time, salaried position with benefits reports to the General Counsel and
is responsible for developing the corporate compliance audit procedures in conjunction
with internal audits, manages company responses to state DOI inquiries, obtains
required regulatory approvals on new or revised inter-company agreements, manages
all form, rate, and rule filings for admitted business, manages all state filings
for agency appointments, maintains company licenses as needed, manages OFAC compliance
activities and Privacy policies and procedures, secures annual conflict of interest
statements, reviews ISO Circulars and PCI Daily Bulletins for changes in department
procedures, forms, etc., reviews and approves underwriting manuals for compliance
with filings and any applicable state regulations. 10 years related legal experience
and JD from accredited law school required. Must be admitted to CT Bar or able to
obtain Authorized House counsel status in accordance with 2-15A. Understanding of
E&S specialty insurance business a plus.
